Farm / Agriculture

One of the biggest obstacles to farm mechanisation in India is small and marginal farms. Because the majority of farms are small and have less than one hectare of land, high-capacity equipment is not practical. The fragmented land holding, poor investment capacity of farmers, equipment requirements for each agro-climatic zone in India, and inadequate repairs and maintenance facilities are among the key obstacles to farm mechanisation. As a result, tiny agricultural gear is becoming increasingly important in research. The cultivator is mostly utilised in Indian farms as supplemental tillage equipment. Small farm areas may be suited for a 5-tyne cultivator. As a result, a 5-tyne cultivator was created using a computer-aided engineering (CAE) approach in this study. Simultaneously, the equipment was performed for various test cases based on soil conditions that reflect various zones. Equivalent stress, total deformation, and maximum principal stress for each test case were computed using the CAE method.
